Description
The SharePoint Project Manager is responsible for a portfolio of custom developed and O&M SP support activities. The PM will lead a team of 10-12 SP developers and will be the primary POC responsible for managing the direct clients, SP customers and organizational senior client leadership. The PM must have proven experience with complex SP delivery such as transitioning from onsite to cloud hosting, SP upgrade strategies and complex custom solution development. The PM will spearhead the team’s product roadmap and will work with the customer to constantly re-assess program needs and priorities.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed work plans and then lead a team of resources to deliver the solutions
Proven experience delivering SP solutions within budget, scope and cost
Identifying and resolving issues critical to the clients’ strategic and operational success
Managing multiple work streams and assigning priorities to tasks
Presenting conclusions and recommendations to senior client management
Requirements include:
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major
Must have excellent SharePoint experience including application development, migrations, and ongoing maintenance support
Strong Personal and Professional Consulting Skills and Customer Focus
Excellent Interpersonal and Communications Skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization
3-5 years minimum Project management experience
5+ years working with SharePoint
Experience working on large, IT enabled complex projects
Confidence in recommending best practice and architectural design for new implementations in the environment
Ability to lead, manage and motivate teams
Delivery focused
Structured, logical thinker
Ability to work under pressure
Understanding of Agile development methodology
Microsoft Office and Project
Additional Requirements include:
Ability to work independently as a program leader and to serve as steward of the IT departments SP solution capabilities
Proven successful experience managing cross cutting relationships with infrastructure, help desk, security and other teams that may be needed to assist with SP project execution
Proven experience managing a number of direct client and customer relationships; potentially with competing priorities
Experience with all facets of project management such as LOEs, monthly status reports, resources, financials, budget, forecasting, incident management and reporting
Strong team development and management
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical solutions in a manner in which non-technical staff or customers can understand
Experience with a variety of SP platforms and capabilities is a plus
