Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper
Location: Milpitas, CA

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00AM-5:00PM (Permanent Job Opportunity)

1-2 years exposure to AP/AR, not necessarily need to have performed those job duties. They will do on the job training Entry level excel, column/row manipulation, understanding basic functions of the program
Summary: The Accounting Clerk provides day-to-day support in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, postings to the general ledger and other support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Accounts Payable
•Receives invoices from vendors/service providers
•Receives, audits, reviews and processes employee expense reports and check requests in accordance with HUSA’s Travel Policy and established Accounting Department procedures and processes.
•Obtains authorization to pay and the timeframe for payment from the Assistant Controller
•Records the payment in the accounts payable general ledger.
•Answers accounts’ payable phone inquiries and follow-up.
•Accounts Receivable
•Receives payment for goods and/or services.
•Reconciles the payments with the associated invoices to assure accuracy.
•Enters finalized cash receipts and updates the accounts receivable general ledger by customer.
•Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
•Researches and processes charge backs, returns and bad checks.
•Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.

•Calls, mails or e-mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management on an as-needed basis
