Respite Foster Parents Needed (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Burnaby, New Westminster)
This is an opportunity to begin an exciting career as a respite family care provider. We support children and youth throughout Metro Vancouver, and currently focusing on finding Family Care/Foster Care homes in Coquitlam, New Westminster, Burnaby and Port Coquitlam.
We are looking for highly skilled foster families to support children in our care who have been diagnosed with developmental disabilities, and who use American Sign Language (ASL)to communicate. For this reason we are specifically looking for care providers who can use ASL.
Your role will be to provide respite support in your home to the families that support these children. As well you will be working with a Case Manager to set personal goals for the children, and work on other tasks as required by each child.
Care providers can be couples wanting to have a child in their home. We also accept applications for single male and female respite care providers.
Care providers are given ample training opportunities, and dedicated support from our Case Management team. In order to begin your career, qualified applicants will meet with the Home Assessment Coordinator and begin their home study process.
Contracts for respite care are in between $175 - $225/day. Contract respite days can range anywhere from 4 days per month up to 14 days a month.
