We are looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to join a progressive non-profit organization as a Residential Support Worker. The position entails working in adult group home settings and in Day Programs within the community.
We support individuals who have developmental delays, who are on the Autism Spectrum, may have physical disabilities or some mental health issues in the lower mainland. The right candidate should have experience with Behavior Management, Personal Care, as well as Medication Administration and at least 1-2 years experience with various disabilities listed above.
Available Shifts:
*Casuals needed for all locations with opportunities to grow and become part time/full time.*
Job Duties Include:
*Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health and behaviours
*Ability to create a meaningful routine
*knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence
*Following health care plans
*Completing daily documentation
*Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
*Accompanying/transporting individuals to appointments and activities in the community
*Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills
Job Qualifications Include:
-Class 4 or 5 BC Driver’s License required and clean driver’s abstract
-Minimum of 1 year experience
-Positive Behaviour Management
-Criminal Record Check
-Negative TB test
-First Aid and CPR
-Mandt Certificate
-Food Safe Certificate

Compensation: $17.12-$19.01 hourly as per the collective agreement, plus benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
