General Fleet Technician at Haney Truck Line in Portland, OR

JOB SUMMARY: General level technician capable of completing mid-level repairs associated with class 8 tractors and trailers.
DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES:
• Technician must be able to complete PM and AVI inspections
• Technician must be able to diagnose basic electrical issues.
• Technician must be able to diagnose and inspect brake components
• Technician must be able to diagnose and repair basic air related components.
• Technician must be able to record and repair notes in real time.
• Must be able to remove/replace tires and wheels IAW Haney procedures
• Must be able and willing to operate a forklift

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Two years industry experience working on class 8 tractors.
• Must be brake and AVI certified in accordance with CFR 49 396.19.
• Must have own tools and rolling tool box.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to use basic power and hand tools safely

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Industry experience on class 8 tractors.
• AVI/Brake certification.
