Job Title: Assistant Sales & Events Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay: Up to $30.00/hr
Duration: 1 year
The Assistant Sales & Events Manager will provide daily support to the Sales & Events Manager within the client’s fashion team. The position is located in San Jose, CA. This position provides great exposure to the unique world of fashion and buying within the e-commerce sector of retail.
Essential duties and responsibilities to include but not be limited to:
• Assists in the planning of events within the client’s fashion and helps in executing these events at every level until reaching go-live status.
• Partner with sellers/vendors to negotiate pricing, obtain inventory submissions, marketing images and more in order to meet internal deadlines.
• Work with S&E Manager to brainstorm event ideas, assortment planning and helps in communicating this vision to partnering teams; specifically marketing.
• Analyze sales trends and use learnings to identify product opportunities, trends, and offerings which will impact the business and provide results.
• Conduct detailed ad-hoc analysis as required and with accuracy.
• Supports buyer with identifying top-sellers, maximizes top-sellers by making suggestions for email exposures, price drops, etc.
• Communicate changes in merchandise assortments, event dates and marketing messaging to the appropriate members of the cross-functional team on a timely basis.
Skills:
• Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow through on all aspects of responsibility
• Ability to multitask and focus in a busy atmosphere, shift priorities if needed
• Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
• High level of proficiency in excel; specifically pivot tables, formulas, and Vlookups
• Efficiency and comfortable using Google docs and experience with box and salesforce is a plus.
Qualifications:
• College degree
• 1-2 years relevant experience in planning/buying preferred
• Previous experience working in e-commerce business is a plus
