Software & Test Engineer (Labview & Visual Basic) & Entry Level Softwa at The DAKO Group in Plymouth, MI

POSITION #1 EXPERIENCED:
Our Plymouth, MI customer is seeking a Software & Test Engineer for a direct hire position at a salary range of $70,000-$75,000 (MAX). No relocation package is available. Prefer U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders, however, for the right person would consider sponsorship.

Role Purpose: Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, by performing the following duties. This is a highly visible position with a critical impact on the company’s future. Internal and external contacts include all levels of employees within the company, division management, consultants, and other professional business contacts within the industry. External contacts are key to the effective execution of the objectives of the company. Frequently these interactions will involve extremely complex, emotional and sensitive issues. Success in this area is vital for the development of the existing and future business.

Responsibilities:
• Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
• Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software system.
• Coordinates installation of software system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years exp. Need LabVIEW, Visual Basic the focus will be on testing for production/engineering
• Training in ISO-17025 (Testing and Calibration Laboratories), Measurement Uncertainty, and Proficiency Testing, as appropriate.
• Experience with Test Software Design, Test Equipment Software, Labview and Visual Basic is required.

• Highly developed organizational and planning skill set
• Understanding of and ability to reach company specific goals.
• Realistic scheduling and observance of deadlines.
• Independent judgment to determine project guidelines, purpose, follow-through and completion.

Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

POSITION#2 ENTRY LEVEL
Our Plymouth, MI customer is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer (Labview) for a direct hire position at a salary range of $50,000-$55,000 (MAX). No relocation package is available. Prefer U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders, however, for the right person would consider sponsorship.
