Sr. Project Engineer
Expanding Specialty Chemicals Manufacturer
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 Range Plus Bonus. Exceptional Benefit and Relocation Programs.
Highly profitable and expanding, chemical manufacturing plant with a history of developing and promoting top engineering and managerial talent. Seeking an aggressive self-starter who will develop, execute & optimize multiple capital projects up to $5MM in scope.
Position: Reports directly to the Manager of Engineering. The Senior Project Engineer will have responsibility for multiple capital and maintenance related projects throughout the plant. Seeking a hands-on , on-the-floor Project Leader with a record of designing, budgeting and executing projects on time and within budget.
Will provide Project Engineering support to Operations and Maintenance. Responsible for determining logical solutions and innovative project design proposals that will optimize operations and maintenance of all process equipment including facilities maintenance and safety system.
Will select and supervise internal techs and contract personnel to insure the successful completion of projects. Will update and maintain accurate drawings, documentation of as-built’ and new systems.
Senior Project Engineer must produce cost effective engineering proposals, accurate cost analysis and detailed documentation of all process improvement and maintenance related projects from proposal to delivery of a finished product.
Requirements:
1. Engineering degree (BSChE or ME)
2. Five or more years of successful Plant Project Engineering experience in Chemical Process facility.
3. Strong Communication / People (mentoring) Skills for future movement into senior management role.
4. Understanding of PSM, OSHA, EPA and other regulatory issues required to operate safely and profitably.
5. Detail oriented with the drive to get it right the first time
6. Understands the intricacies of leading teams of engineers & skilled trades in a union environment
