Job Description
Description: This role is responsible for providing analytical and technical support to the business communities through the development of user requirements that can be translated into business solutions specifically related to financial and banking applications. The primary responsibility is to understand business needs and convert them to written IT requirements for development, testing, and implementation.
Basic Functions:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of banking environment to bridge business requirements and IT solutions. Provide technical direction and ensure compliance with best practice solutions.
2. Interface with financial users and facilitate identification of new business requirements.
3. Guide business people (owners, managers, users) to define, justify, and test those requirements.
4. Suggest alternative solutions for business needs.
5. Create Test Scripts for use in system and UAT testing.
6. Understand dependencies between requirements and determine if they impact the sequence of development and implementation.
7. Perform testing and training during project lifecycle as necessary.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Experience as a business analyst with focus on process improvement, data quality, and systems life cycle methodologies; preferably in the banking industry
2. Requirements development and traceability techniques; design of test cases
3. Strong knowledge of workflow standards, concepts, and practices
