Strong, Stable company looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team.
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant in the Accounting Team will be responsible for a variety of journal entries and related balance sheet and operating statement accounts, documenting processes, and support of the overall responsibilities of the senior accountants and the senior manager of accounting.
Position Accountabilities
The following are essential job accountabilities:
• Record various journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations
• Review the results of the assigned business operations and making the necessary accounting entries
• Complete monthly, quarterly and year end close responsibilities
• Investigate and report on variances discovered in assigned areas
• Document all existing accounting procedures and processes
• Use technology to streamline manual processes
• Support external audit timelines and tasks
• Work closely with the planning team to understand budgets and forecasts and the related variances to actual results in assigned areas
Communicate and coordinate assigned field and/or head office department month end reviews

Undergraduate degree in Accounting required
CPA License or CPA track preferred

0-4 years experience
