Senior Staff Accountant in Savannah, GA
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a large growing company with tremendous advancement opportunities in Savannah, GA.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Candidates should have experience with:
*General Ledger *Profit & Loss Analysis and Balance Sheets *Month-End closing *Account Reconciliations *Cost Analysis *Project assignments
Responsibilities:
Understand and generate general ledger as well as month and quarter end entries
Document GL accounting flows based on individual state regulations
Responsible for accounting functions related to acquisitions and new business processes
Prepare month end journal entries as it relates to project accounting
Maintain project plans, issue lists, testing and documentation for formal meetings to report to and update upper management
Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
Responsible for consolidating and eliminating entries for VIE and internal entities
Qualifications:
5+ years of high volume, full cycle corporate accounting experience is required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
3+ years experience with a top ten accounting firm is a plus
Multi-unit retail experience is strongly preferred - 250 locations or greater
CPA is a plus
Must have strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects
Capability of demonstrating strong understanding of process flows and internal controls
The salary range for this role is $55K-$70K with excellent benefits
