Job Description:
As OUR CLIENT’S Healthcare Database Integration Lead, you will partner with the functional leaders to provide the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases. This position handles and leads data and database management in various stages of maturity that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level data/ database architecture and management strategies. The analyst will serve as a consultant on technological advancements. This position also provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff. May represent the organization as an external spokesperson.
This role reports to the Chief Information and Customer Officer, with matrix accountability to OUR CLIENT functional leaders.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitated effective cross-functional (business/IT, IT architecture/delivery, etc.) dialog and decisions with broad knowledge of healthcare industry and core IT Data and Solution Architecture disciplines
• Identified practical path forward from requirements and solution analysis scenarios that threaten to slow down progress and paralyze team efforts
• Identified and helped resolve critical path business and IT governance gaps
• Evolved project team language that resonates with both business and IT stakeholders - help bridge the gap between complex conceptual IT terminology and business stakeholder need for terminology that clearly describe the tangible business impacts
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of databases in the organization.
• Includes the development and design of database strategies, system monitoring and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements.
• Plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database.
• Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
• Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
• Enrolling users and maintaining system security
• Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
• Planning for backup and recovery of database information
• Maintaining archived data
• Backing up and restoring databases
• Contacting database vendor for technical support
• Generating various reports by querying from database as per need
• Gather/validate requirements with stakeholders and the project team.
• Lead internal review sessions. Discuss issues and questions related to claims data analysis, issue documentation.
• Work with business stakeholders to review and resolve identified issues.
• Perform data analysis, using in-depth knowledge of databases and healthcare data.
• Support all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with Agile methodology is a MUST.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams regarding enhancements, changes, issues and defects that may impact development, data, workflow and/or functionality.
• Perform data analysis, using in-depth knowledge of relational databases and healthcare data.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• Experienced with large data warehouse projects.
• MS Office, MS Project, Rally, Visio.
• Verifiable 5+ year of experience on data warehouse projects.
• Bachelor degree required in related field.
• Verifiable 5+ year of Agile experience
• Advanced level proficiency with MS Office, Visio.
• Proficient in SQL
• Client services or related experience; experience servicing and selling to employer clients preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent collaboration, drive for results, and organizational excellence.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to interface and effectively present to senior management.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to read and understand complex data and make thoughtful, articulate recommendations. Ability to translate analysis of data into a PowerPoint presentation.
• Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines, and demonstrated strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to build a collaborative culture and relationships across the organization and with external strategic partners.
• Strong relationship and interpersonal skills; sales experience a plus.
• Proven ability to influence course of action when others are directly accountable for outcomes.
• 5+ years managing multiple projects/tasks to meet contractual deadlines or other time sensitive commitments.
• Willingness to travel as required.
