Our customer located in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Systems & Process Engineer on a direct hire basis.
The salary range for this position is dependent upon level of experience.
Job Introduction
The System and Process Engineer administrates, maintains and improves the global development tools as well as maintains and improves the global product engineering process. Will be the contact person for System Users, System Key Users, Process Users, and System Provider.
Major Responsibilities
• Develop & manage global development tools / systems and their interfaces to other development tools.
• Implement and create interfaces to other customer specific tools.
• Supports the users globally in their day to day work regarding the global development tools / systems and global product engineering processes if problems will come-up.
• Manage and align globally project or business specific customizing of the tools.
• Manage, align globally, and implement new functionality and improvements to the global development systems.
• Coordinates and train the System Key Users globally in their specific role and is the interface to the service provider.
• Maintains global tools and perform updates as needed.
• Supports definition, maintenance, and improvement of the global product engineering process model (including methods, tools, templates, examples, guidelines and tailoring concepts) to fulfill standards and norms (e.g. Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262, ISO TS 16949).
• Administrate and leveling the demand on license globally with input of the Project and Functional Leads (Operating Model).
• Plans the budget of global development tools / systems and global Engineering Processes.
• Perform global aligned trainings and workshops for using the Tools and Processes in serial projects.
• Support serial projects in external / internal assessment preparations.
• Executes reviews, benchmarks and rollouts of Tools and Systems, if needed.
Required Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Sciences, or equivalent subjects (e.g. Engineering).
Specialist Knowledge
• Excellent knowledge in administrating and handling of management tools (e.g. DOORS, Integrity).
• Comprehensive knowledge in Software development with Java, SQL or comparable languages.
• Basic Experiences with managing projects.
• Knowledge of advanced in in Automotive SPICE or comparable automotive standards.
• Basic knowledge in Functional Safety (ISO DIS 26262).
• Basic experiences in Quality Management Systems (ISO TS 16949).
Methodological Knowledge
• Advanced skills in planned and structured approach.
• Advanced skills in process models (e.g. V-Model, RUP, SCRUM).
• Basic of problem solving.
• Basic experiences in managing projects.
• Advanced communication skills.
Language Knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of English (speak & write).
Computer Skills
• Comprehensive knowledge MS Office package.
• Advanced knowledge to analyze and learn new tools.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience regarding main activities (preferable) or comparable experience in Automotive, Electronic Industry.
• 3 to 5 years of experience regarding main activities or comparable experience in relevant tools and management system(s) administration.
Personal Requirements
• Team oriented with assertiveness ability.
• Creative urges to resolve problems.

• Ability to work with global teams (cross-cultural communication ability).
