MANAGER UPDATE: specifically looking for someone who has written business requirements and/or functional specs. A lot of the resumes indicate they are BA’s but the work that they are doing is more with analyzing data and reports, not writing business requirements and functional specs. A key component in being a BA is being able to articulate concepts and thoughts.
Description:
Currently in need of a Business Systems Analyst who will be responsible for developing and/or assisting in the development of detailed functional Specifications for multiple products based on customer and industry requirements.
Primary responsibilities include working with cross functional teams in the definition and launch of product functionality. Efforts involve working throughout the product development process, including functional specifications, design reviews, and product beta and launch.
• Responsible for creating design deliverables which include detailed functional specifications, use cases, personas and process flows
• Elicits Functional requirements using interviews, research, requirements workshops, and site visits
• Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements
• Working with cross functional teams to finalize product requirements during the design phase and to validate specifications during development/testing
• Participate in design reviews during release phases for new features and products
• May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
• Work with all customer departments including documentation, training, implementation, help desk, upgrades, and service to ensure available and timely resources and excellent customer support for new products and releases
Minimum: 2+ years’ experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems
Critical Skills:
• 2+ years’ experience working knowledge of building system solutions or business applications
• 2+ years’ experience creating workflow diagrams, functional specifications, use cases or product designs
