Support and administer implementation of Microsoft SharePoint Server environment for corporate intranet site, team collaboration sites, and other SharePoint-based applications. Includes a company team member directory, content management of the company Safety & Environmental Management System (WayPoint/SEMS) controlled documentation fleetwide, and other compliance and collaboration requirements.
•Primary responsibility for high availability, health and performance of 50+ site collections. Analyze performance and recommend solutions to enhance functionality, reliability, security and/or usability.
•Install and configure SharePoint sites, templates, roles and security to meet business goals and maintain corporate intranet standards.
•Customize and configure content management system (CMS) workflows and forms, tightly integrated to the SharePoint platform, to meet business goals.
•Evaluate and perform maintenance on SharePoint services, including synchronization of content on remote site servers.
•Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method to accomplish tasks and achieve objectives. Apply advanced industry and subject matter knowledge to complex business issues.
•Respond to trouble tickets and calls; Provide on-call support to maintain continued performance and availability of SharePoint sites across the enterprise.
•Recommend improvements to architectural design elements of SharePoint installation to enhance performance.
•Recommend, implement and administer system customizations to improve user experience/functionality.
•Routinely evaluate and recommend essential technological changes to support goals and operational objectives.
•Create supporting technical documentation and training material as needed
•Frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. Demonstrate technical leadership and exerts influence outside of immediate team.
•Participate as a member of the IT organization providing general and SharePoint specific support.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education, skill and work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience with installation and configuration of Microsoft SharePoint Portal and Windows SharePoint services required, including 2 or more years experience developing custom solutions for SharePoint using web parts. Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system deployment experience preferred. 3 years intranet/Internet site development experience preferred.
Working knowledge of MS SharePoint 2007, 2010 and 2013 required.
Service-focused attitude and team player orientation required.
HTML programming language and web development using CSS preferred.
SQL, Windows Server 2008 and 2012; Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Office and Windows 7 experience preferred.
Sharegate and Metalogix replicator experience preferred.
