Senior Security Engineer at GenStaffing in Denver, CO

If you like to think outside of the box, work with others across the organization, influence stakeholders and be part of an enterprise security team; this opportunity will support full end to end projects and provide the Senor Security Engineer to with exciting challenges and puzzles to solve. The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for all facets of security, forensics and legal/audit, incident response and network security. We run a Cisco environment. This role will support IT Security globally. The position located in downtown Denver, CO and reports to the Enterprise Security Manager.

Responsibilities include:
• Network security assessment/remediation
• Implement and sustain a Vulnerability scanning and remediation regimen.
• Perform and/or coordinate Security assessment including network penetration tests and Web application pen testing as required.
• Perform risk assessment and gap analysis to optimize security effectiveness in areas of need. Security Operations/Incident handling/incident remediation
• Review security events and perform analysis on the events detected or escalated.
• Identify and react to network attacks, viruses, and intrusions.
• Develop and coordinate remediation plans when compromises occur. Forensics
• Provide forensic analysis of security violations and perform investigations as requested.
• Experience with Encase forensics enterprise to perform investigations.
• Advise on security best practices, security strategy, security architecture and design.
• Assist with security policy and procedure documentation and diagramming.
• Assist with the management, implementation, and support of secure mobility architecture.
• Develop continuous improvements to the network operational security framework, standards and metrics.
• Utilize effective project management and oversight to ensure on-time delivery of security enhancement projects.
• Utilize effective vendor management.
• Develop and implement an effective security awareness program.
• Review and implement requests for service access through firewalls and verify they meet security policy and guidelines.
• Monitor the latest network security risks, threats, exploits, and vulnerabilities and proactively ensure that the risk to JM from these threats is appropriately managed.
• Work collaboratively with various JM organizations to implement and provide operational support for network security solutions that protect JM's network and computing environment.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex network security issues.

Requirements:
• Bachelors degree or 8 years of professional IT experience in lieu of a degree (plus the requirements noted below).
• 5 or more years of experience with IT Security.
• Experience working with IDS/IPS
• Experience responding to computer security incidents
• Project management experience.
• Ability to support on call rotation.
• Ability to Climb stairs & ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, be exposed to hot and cold and extensive walking.
• Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Switch/Router/Firewall.
• Web content filtering.
• SIM SEM SIEM experience.
• VPN (site-to-site, and Remote Access).
• Enterprise wireless experience.
• Remote and Extensible Authentication systems.
• Network Traffic Managers/Proxies.
• Incident Response and Analysis.
• Computer Forensics using Encase.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing systems, SCADA, and Process control Network.
• SSL certificates and Public Key Infrastructure.
• Defensible eDiscovery experience.
• Written and verbal communication skills and ability to persuade, convince, or influence others to take appropriate action via presentations and documentation.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for innovation, results, customer focus, and an ability to work independently.
