- Perform structural and durability analyses of complex systems, including complete harvesting machines structures.
- Work closely with Global design teams to provide solutions for structural and durability issues for harvesting equipment, documenting methodologies used, writing reports, and providing design direction in early stages of development.
Qualifications
We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Aerospace engineering, Engineering Mechanics, related discipline or equivalent experience. A Master's Degree with emphasis in Numerical Simulation of structures would be preferred. In addition, we require:
- Minimum 2 years of experience using FEA tools for structural analysis, including preprocessing, communicating results to design teams, collaborating to resolve structural issues and generating reports.
- Demonstrated experience in performing fatigue analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve structural issues utilizing analysis tools.
- Completed coursework on mechanics of materials, fatigue and FEA.
A strong candidate may also possess:
- Proficient in Abaqus and Hyperworks tools (Hyperview, Hypermesh).
- Proficient in using advanced structural analysis tools to solve problems in static and dynamics problems.
- Proficient with non-linear methods.
- Proficient in using FEA tools to solve mechanisms via special elements, such as connector elements.
- Ability to process, interpret and use field data for analysis.
- Experience using analysis tools for large structures and weldments in the mobility or off-road industry.
