The Sr. IT Security Analyst/Engineer will provide guidance and leadership in the development of global security standards and governance. Will play an integral part in building and defining the Information Security Program, creating frameworks, polices and standards to be executed by regional/local business entities. This position will also be responsible for the evaluation, testing and validation of information security tools to be implemented across the organization, that improve overall system security in a dynamic and growing global environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Minimum 4 years in IT Security
Broad knowledge on information security tools
Strong understanding of Information Security governance models, security standards (e.g. ISO 27000).
Expertise/Experience with IDS/IPS solutions, Infrastructure Security, Network Security, Application Security, Firewall Technologies a plus
Broad knowledge of technologies and the associated security implications in a large environment, including: storage systems, operating systems, networking elements and protocols, monitoring platforms, database engines and application and web servers with SOX and FERPA in mind
Experience with Disaster Recovery concepts, strategies and implementations
Strong Execution Skills. Drives flawless execution of projects as well as contributing to continuous improvements of critical projects and programs. The ability to understand complex needs to ensure IT plans are delivered as promised.
Leadership Skills: A self-starter who can excel in a team environment of a growing and dynamic enterprise. A nonpolitical team player who can build immediate credibility with all teams.
Security aware: Understand the security implications of decisions and balance security and risk according to business needs and goals.
Ability to work flexible schedules when required and to multitask and appropriately prioritize duties
Excellent Oral and Written Communications Skills and the ability to present a complex topic to a non-technical audience. A clear vision of work required within the domain and the ability to quickly and concisely detail vision and requirements.
Detail orientation, and the ability to record, organize, and communicate detail.
An interest in people and the ability to grow relationships.
A high level of self-motivation and the capacity to take swift action based on business need and best practices.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
BA or BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Operations, or equivalent experience
CISSP, SSCP, or other relevant certifications a plus
Experience in Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), DLP, unauthorized access, malware analysis, insider threats, and data loss analysis
Incident management and information security policy enforcement and development for a large organization or fortune 500 company a plus
CCNP-Security, CCSP, CISSP and other industry security certifications strongly desired
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
