Mechanical Design Engineer - Rotating Equipment Engineer / Pump at Expanding San Francisco Area Company in Alameda County, CA

Expanding Alameda County Company is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to start ASAP. 5-10+ years of experience in machinery design focusing on rotating industrial equipment and auxiliaries. Preferably designing large centrifugal pumps or similar is required and work with oil/gas/chemical is a huge plus.
**This experience must be clearly indicated on your resume where you have done it in order to be considered. **

Responsible for Leading specific product development projects involving centrifugal turbines, pumps, recovery devices and related systems. You will also be responsible for Mechanical design and analysis of products, subassemblies and individual components and ensuring design compliance with applicable standards, ASME, API, NACE, etc...
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
5+ years of experience in machinery design focusing on rotating industrial equipment and auxiliaries, preferably large centrifugal pumps or similar.
Work experience with oil/gas/chemical equipment highly desirable.
High level of technical competency in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering design and analysis.
Demonstrated application of modern engineering tools as well as sound judgment to create innovative solutions to design problems.
Demonstrable skills utilizing CAE modeling and analysis tools including recent work experience.
Must possess a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and be goal oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires designing rotating equipment and large centrifugal machines or subsystems thereof.

Position requires up to 10% international travel.
