PEDIATRIC NEPHROLOGIST
NEW ORLEANS IS SEEKING AN ADDITIONAL BE/BC FULL-TIME FACULTY MEMBER IN PEDIATRIC NEPHROLOGY. The position will be predominantly clinical and will involve attending inpatient and ambulatory services, including traveling to regional outreach clinics. Additional responsibilities will include supervising and teaching of pediatric residents and medical students. Opportunities to conduct collaborative clinical or basic science research are available for available candidates. Candidates should be interested in chronic renal failure, dialysis, and renal transplant.
The Department of Pediatrics and our pediatric subspecialists represent over 110 physicians. The group is the region’s leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric services including bone marrow transplantation, solid organ transplantation, and pediatric cardiovascular surgery. We utilize a 54-bed Level III-C Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 35-bed pediatric unit, as well as a dedicated, full-time, region-wide in-house pediatric transport team.
