Global Automotive Industry Manufacturer looking for a Scheduler.
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to schedule production orders and to order and monitor intra-company supplies. Use production order scheduling system to coordinate, prioritize, capacity plan, level-load, control, and communicate production order flow through production areas to meet customer on-time delivery requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Work with production leaders on achieving the optimal flow of product within a scheduled time period.
Update accountability boards with order information and premium moves.
Work with customer service and outside vendor materials purchasing on information related customer orders and material availability for production schedule attainment.
Create and maintain work order packets with blueprints, set-up sheets and routing sheets.
Responsible for monitoring inventory levels, days on hand, to ensure sufficient material is available for scheduled production.
Monitor daily output from manufacturing cells.
Monitor and publish customer delivery metrics.
Perform other activities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Intermediate to advanced user level preferred.
Must have experience in using manufacturing computer software (examples include but not limited to MAPICS, MRP, SAP, KBM, ORACLE, SAP, JD EDWARDS, etc.)
Must have good analytical skills; examples demonstrating this ability a plus.
Must have good oral and written communication skills
Must have good work organization and prioritization skills
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree but prefer a four year (B.A. or B.S.) College degree from an accredited college or university; and three or more years related experience in the automotive manufacturing environment.
