Strive has an exciting, part-time, opportunity for a highly-organized, efficient, and energetic individual to join our growing agency as an Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director.
The Admin Assistant will work within a diverse team providing support to the Executive Director and Contract Manager.
This role is best suited for an individual who has business administrative experience supplemented with a marketing background would be an asset. The Admin Assistant must be an ambitious self-starter and team-player with exemplary time management skills, keen attention to detail, and proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The key accountabilities for this role include but are not limited to:
• Printing out contracts for Contract Manager to review
• Scanning contracts and filing them electronically as well as physically
• Filling out the forms for insurance certificate/change location/add location/remove location requests
• Provide support to the board of directors in carrying out their duties and ancillary tasks, interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures.
• Research and investigate information to enable strategic decision-making by others.
• Participate in external and internal committees (eg.Technology, fundraising, marketing, social committees, etc.).
• Performing other duties as required
• Month-end Contractors Payroll (being able to calculate absenteeism and make adjustments on SV, export SV data for Paysavvy entry)
• Month-end invoicing Funders Process
Experience and Qualification requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Office Management, Business Administration, Communications, or similar
• One or more years of previous experience working in a comparable role
• Ability to work well independently and within an established team
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet multiple concurrent deadlines
• Superior verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills
• Knowledge and experience with database systems
• Discretion in handling sensitive information
• Experience with SharePoint an asset
• Knowledge and experience in field of community living/health care an asset
• Non-profit experience an asset
Hours: 20 hours per week, schedule flexible and to be determined.
Compensation:
• Starting rate is $16.33/hr to start with opportunities to advance.
• Fully paid benefits package upon successful completion of three month probationary period.
