This is truly an exciting opportunity to work with a medical device manufacturer with proprietary game changing technology that will benefit many people.
In this important role you will be the resident Electronic Engineering guru for the engineering team.
JOB DUTIES:
• Design and develop electrical, electronic, electromechanical and electro-optical components, boards and subsystems
• Generate detailed technical specifications as a flow down from a higher-level specification
• Electronic designs using schematic capture tools resulting with board manufacturing information
• Determine parameters for assigned design projects including: scheduling, and functional requirements
• Perform analyses to support design decisions
• Ensure that all product design standards are incorporated in the design
• Ensure that designs are functionally correct
• Create assembly documents, testing documents and provide design reviews where design responsibilities have been given you
• Conduct experiments to investigate component and system performance.
• Troubleshoot electronic component/system failures
• Direct technicians in the performance of activities
• Personally assure that projects meet parameters, as well as schedule, appearance, and costs
• Complete quality system documentation in conjunction with performing tasks
REQUIREMENTS:
• Electronic design experience using schematic capture tools resulting in board manufacturing information
• FPGA design experience
• Experienced at making design tradeoffs
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to exercise and display good judgment and prioritization of duties.
• Self-motivated
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• BS or MS Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• 10+ years of related work experience
• Design experience in: electronic design, embedded systems, software/hardware interfaces
• Design for Manufacturing experience
PREFERRED (OPTIONAL):
• Experience working under an ISO13485 quality system preferred
• Experience with cart-based systems preferred
• Firmware code development experience is a plus
