Developer
Provides technical leadership in the design, development, testing and support of system and interfaces with the various Baggage systems. Plans, designs, develops, tests, deployments, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. Evaluates user requirements for new or modified program to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities.
Develop high level and detailed design documentation, system artifacts, flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate system interactions and to describe logical operations involved. Analyzes, reviews, and alters program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Assists user to solve operating problems. Ensures deliverables meet relevant standards and architecture in a team culture of code walk through. Assist with troubleshooting any deployment or environment related issues. Researches and develops solutions to complex problems or as specified by the functional needs of the system. Monitors performance of system after implementation. Different skill sets may be emphasized as dictated by current priorities requiring the incumbent to be adaptable and flexible.
Effectively communicates and collaborates with technical teams, vendors, business partners, and management.
• Minimum of three years hands on programming experience in a business environment
• Some college degree preferred in the field of computer science, programming, engineering, or business
• Design and development using Java and J2EE technologies (strong requirement), UNIX flavor operating system, RDBMS (prefer Oracle)
• Ability to optimize SQL performance, update schema, table partitioning and develop SQL procedures.
• Should have experience in most areas:
o IBM WAS server,
o Cache Technologies specifically Infinispan and EHcache
o Hibernate
o Spring Core, Spring Integration
o IBM MQs
o SOAP Based and REST Services
o ORM Framework
• Experience in HTML5 is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical teams and business partners
• Airline background desired
• Interact with other key project designers participating in project-wide design and procedures
