1. Job Purpose
The global marketing (senior) director will report into the Global commercial lead for atopic dermatitis within the Dermatology and Respiratory unit. In this role, he/she will be responsible/accountable for the following:
Development and implementation of successful strategies in the context of the launch preparation of medication in atopic dermatitis, a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting the IL4Rα
Validation of the global marketing strategies by the global brand team in charge of validating that proposed strategies answer region/country needs
Alignment on strategies with the company partner
2. Principal Accountabilities / Tasks
Lead/assist in the development of the pharmaceutical strategy in atopic dermatitis within the defined brand architecture to support the pharmaceuticals successful launch. Work closely with pharmaceutical's development team, Marketing, Market Research, Market Access & Medical Affairs teams to understand customer needs, development plan, market trends and ensure they have clear knowledge and understanding of the brand strategy
Lead/assist in the development of a comprehensive strategy for preparing the atopic dermatitis market to receive the first biologic treatment. Obtain a thorough knowledge of the atopic dermatitis disease and customize the strategy across various customer segments
Ensure aligment with the partner company on topics related to strategy development and implementation
Work closely with product managers and integrated care to ensure that implemented activities and service development are aligned with strategy Understand patient, physicians and payers needs in atopic dermatitis. Analyze other therapeutic areas as benchmark
Participate actively in the global brand team and manage discussion/agreement on topics under his/her responsibility. Develop recommendations for the countries/regions. Ensure that regions/countries understand strategy that should be implemented locally. Participate in local strategy adjustment according to local needs
Documents/Plans: Ensure that the marketing processes, programs, and internal reports are developed, implemented, and effectively administered to be consistent with corporate guidance and all regulatory, legal, ethical guidelines
Budgeting : Create, manage and track monthly the joint budgets to ensure timely budget commitment and follow up

Qualifications

Team leadership and teamwork ability within and outside of the company as indicated by a track record of effectively leading significant, performance-focused teams without necessarily having direct hierarchical responsibility over them; manage by influence rather than authority; Natural inclination for teamwork and ability to contribute constructively to discussions beyond the strict scope of responsibility
Strategic thinking and experience in developing global strategies with a clear business and customer orientation including patient centricity
Ability to work in a complex matrix organization & Influencing/ interpersonal / communication skills: ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of external and diverse internal stakeholders. A truly global outlook and a good level of cultural sensitivity and awareness will be important.
Innovative problem-solving: able to take creative approaches to problem solving and challenge the status quo where needed
2. Required knowledge/Qualifications
Education: University level education; Bachelor's degree with preference for an MBA
Experience & knowledge: At least 8 years+ experience in pharmaceutical industry (marketing and/or medical/sales) with country operational and global marketing experience
Previous experience in dermatology and/or work on monoclonal antibodies (eg. In psoriasis), would be an asset as well as prior experience working in an alliance
Languages: English fluent
