Our Clinton, TN customer is looking for an experienced 3rd shift Coating Technician for a direct hire position at an hourly range of $12.00-$17.50. Reports to the Assistant manager Coating PP Supervisor.
Shifts are as follows:
• 1st shift 6:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
• 2nd shift - 2:30 p.m. 11:00 p.m.
• 3rd shift 10:30 p.m. 7:00 a.m.
To provide technical support with new project part design, troubleshoot production problems, debug production metalizing and masking start-ups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete the checklist at the start of the shift
• Check the carriers for defects
• Change fixtures, based on the production need
• Provide support to preproduction areas
• Make electrical, mechanical and pneumatic repairs to the machines
• Fill-out shift reports
• Preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for the machines in the metalizing area
• Preventive and corrective maintenance to the carriers or fixtures
• Respond to any urgent issue due to substances in the area
• File and maintain the documentation
• Comply with quality and environmental standards, procedures and instructions.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a light industrial manufacturing environment is required
• Prefer someone with a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
• Basic knowledge of statistics
• Knowledge of quality and environmental systems including: handling of chemicals and hazardous residues, emergency program, air emissions, etc.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, electronics, electricity, pneumatics and PLC along with pressure and vacuum pumps soldering; corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance; air handling and filter systems; and experience with various facets of paint applications.
• Must have good problem solving and communication skills
