Our Plymouth, MI customer is seeking an experienced Intelligent Automobile Technology R&D Engineer for a direct hire position at an open salary range. Relocation is available. Sponsorship is NOT AVAILABLE. Will NOT consider fresh-out graduates, entry-level or candidates with less than 3 years' experience.
Responsibilities:
• Monthly investigation into new smart/autonomous car technologies, strategies, and methods in the North America smart car industry. Produce regular reports to update the team and leadership on emerging technologies and trends.
• Write special reports as requested that examine specific software and hardware technical issues to inform decision making
• Help to develop external technology resources in the North American R&D community by building a network of partnerships. Use internal and external R&D resources to assist in synthesizing innovative new smart vehicle features
• Coordinate with the company’s global engineering and other stakeholders to implement new smart vehicle features as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in mechanical Engineering / Electronics Engineering focusing on robotics, software areas related to the smart/autonomous vehicle field
• 3 years or more experience in the automotive field
• Strong spirit of innovation in the smart car field or in a related technology area
• Analytical; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans
• Capable of handling multiples projects, initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team oriented
• Bilingual (English & Chinese) is a plus
