Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing payroll processes for over 12K employees for a multinational company at sites across the Americas and in Asia.
• Ensuring that compensation is administered according to all company and governmental rules and laws, privacy restrictions, and international employment law;
• Maintaining and applying internal control standards;
• Managing and team development of payroll professionals in USA and global locations;
• Auditing and implementing best practices for payroll processing accuracy, tax payments, automated workflows, electronic timekeeping, etc.;
• Leading the selection, implementation and management of 3rd party relationships;
• Staying current on payroll systems and upgrades;
• Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
Education: 4-year degree required; accounting, human resources, business administration, or related disciplines preferred.
Required Skills:
• 7-10 years of increasing responsibility in payroll functions; should have payroll and benefit responsibility for over 5,000 employees;
• Expert knowledge of payroll principles and compensation and tax laws in US, Canada, Mexico, and Asia;
• Acquisition experience required;
• Knowledge and experience in SOX compliance, wage and hour laws, payroll processing, time and attendance systems such as Kronos, PeopleSoft and ADP;
• Advanced Excel skills;
• Global payroll experience preferred;
• American Payroll Association certification preferred.
