Great opportunity in the Minneapolis (west), MN area. This position is a direct hire for a successful and innovative food processing company.
Responsibilities:
• Managing the cleaning and sanitation operations of the facility including CIP, GMPs, SDS, SQF, process controls programs, etc.;
• Coaching current employees and training new sanitation workers in cleaning SSOPs, chemical use, and safety procedures;
• Performing inspections of plant, equipment and environment to assess cleanliness;
• Participating in 3rd party inspections;
• Working with management to identify and correct sanitation concerns;
• Ordering and managing the inventory of sanitation supplies;
• Ensuring preventative and repair maintenance for chemical delivery systems and sanitation equipment;
• Conducting weekly meetings with the sanitation crew regarding continuous improvement, root cause analysis, etc.
Education: 4-year degree required; Food Science, Microbiology or related disciplines.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in food processing sanitation;
• Supervisory experience including training, coaching, and team building;
• Experience in CIP, GMPs, SDS, SQF, process controls programs, SSOPs, etc.;
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations;
• Skills in identifying sanitation problems and providing workable solutions;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
