Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for an Equipment Engineer in the Florence, AL area. This position is a direct hire for an innovative and successful manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
• Designing, developing, and setting-up new equipment on the manufacturing floor;
• Studying product design feasibility and providing feedback to project launch team;
• Assisting in establishing process designs for new manufacturing processes;
• Reviewing and approving concept drawings for new equipment;
• Developing specifications for new equipment required for new product manufacturing;
• Establishing detailed timing to design, build, run-off, and deliver new equipment.

Education: 4-year degree required; Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related disciplines.
Required Skills:
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Knowledge/experience with PLC and CAD preferred;
• Mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude;
• Analytical and problem solving skills;
• Organizational and planning skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
