Pricing & Contract Manager - Jericho
Location: Huntington Beach, California
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
Perform the ongoing development, analysis, and support of pricing initiatives and process changes to ensure consistency of Company Global pricing practices.
Work with Sales, Marketing, Accounting, and Product Management to develop strategic pricing solutions that align with Company goals and objectives.
Define global pricing guidelines, definitions, and methodologies and align with regions.
Analyze current and historical results of pricing activity and transactional data to identify actionable opportunities, develop creative solutions, and make recommendations to improve pricing performance against various business objectives.
Establish a standardized process for developing and implementing new pricing initiatives and ensure key stakeholders have a clear understanding of the process.
Prepare timely completion of Price Quotation requests for customer account representatives.
The coordination and completion of Bid Packages including the completion of the Business Profile and customer supplied Bid Sheets.
Review and evaluate price variance requests from sales staff.
Work with contracts to develop a full understanding of customer requirements for the product/service being quoted.
Control and maintain all customer contracts in a current library to be accessible by sales management and sales representatives of the company.
Commence internal audits of existing customer pricing
Perform Ad-Hoc pricing analysis.
Work with MIS to improve the information access of pricing and contract information.
Work with functional areas to help develop proposals/quotations for sales and marketing.
Effectively and diplomatically communicate with executives, managers, employees, and external customers orally and in writing.
Develop comprehensive detailed reports on cost/price analysis, including recommending price adjustments
Serve as a key advisor, working with other managers, on cost and price problems and issues
Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance
5 or more years of related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
CPA experience is a plus.
Experience developing price proposals for sales distribution.
Experience working with tiered pricing, rebate structures, and buying groups would be helpful.
Knowledge of cost evaluation techniques and accounting principles
Ability to draft and present complex cost/price analysis.
