Company seeking a Maintenance Manager for Rail Operations.
Management of a shop including 40 techs. Need someone with experience with communicating with supervisor who may not be under their scope all the time and union crafts people and working in a 24/7 operation.
Background in a bus facility or large facility of a trucking industry or logistics company would be ideal.
Maximo software and material management software experience are assets.
3-5 years working in a heavy maintenance shop and 3-4 years supervising in a heavy maintenance shop.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management of all maintenance activities required to meet safety, service reliability and budget and schedule goals including the management of corrective and preventive maintenance for all vehicles, track work, guidway, structures, station doors, traction power supply and distribution system, communication system and automatic train control system. The Maintenance department includes 5 supervisors, and 43 union employees.
Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
Minimum 2 years of indirect supervision in an industrial/technical environment. AA/AS degree in business or technical field required, BS/BA degree preferred. At least 5 years of experience working in an industrial environment, with O&M experience preferred.
Knowledge of the Business
Working knowledge of maintenance management processes and systems. Demonstrated ability to understand and coordinate complex technical issues that required the use of project management techniques and statistics. Experience or education with budgeting and finance preferred.

1. 2 + years of indirect supervision in a heavy vehicle industrial facility - bus facility, large facility of a trucking industry or logistics company or similar.
2. Associate's degree in business or technical field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
