SUMMARY:
This is a 1st Shift contract opportunity.This individual will maintain department records, inventory accuracy, customer order requirements, and receiving and shipping functions and responsibilities. You will ensure the department is supplied with necessary raw materials and finished goods needed to maintain work flow to complete daily production requirements. In addition, works with suppliers, plant personnel, Purchasing, dealers, and carriers to resolve various issues and performs initial quality checks of packaging. Weekend on call responsibilities may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:•Performs billing functions of shuttles and trailers going to internal and external customers. Generates manual bills as needed for orders outside system to document accurate loaded products to ensure accurate and timely receipt of product by customer.
•Troubleshoots various system issues, including, but not limited to, failed printing of shipping documents, or correcting address changes, to ensure accurate and timely receipt of product.
•Performs cycle counts on controlled location inventories and adjusts and notifies Resource Planning of any inventory inaccuracies to verify warehouse inventory.
•Assists Team Leaders with search for missing product within warehouse
•Performs various office duties, including keyboarding, filing, answering telephones, faxing, and completing various projects
•Performs inventory management functions, such as incorrect location, quantities, and cancelled orders, stop shipments from plants, and/or warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy.
•Expedites Special Orders/Shipments/Requests to meet customer requirements.
•Processes Product Returns to receive product back into the warehouse.
•Serves as first point of contact and performs troubleshooting for plants for customer orders (warehousing, shipping, and receiving) to support on-time complete shipment goals.
•Verifies accuracy of production orders and bills of material (BOMs); informs Manufacturing Engineers and Resource Planning of any BOM inaccuracies.
QUALIFICATIONS:•High school diploma or equivalent.
•May be required to obtain and maintain valid powered industrial truck operator permit.
•Work experience and in manufacturing/distribution environment required.
•Two years PC and keyboard/mouse experience in manufacturing/distribution environment required.
•Working knowledge wireless devises and current computer systems such as Remedy, EMPAC, Kronos, TMC, SAP, and Microsoft Office preferred.
•Must be able to lift and or move material weighing up to 50 pounds; ability to work in distribution center environment.
•Ability to work frequently during weekends and be on call when not scheduled to work.
•Ability to multi-task required
•May use ladder or powered lift to heights up to 20 feet
