Capitol Recruiters Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Voice Engineer - for a prominent law firm client in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for the enterprise IP telephony infrastructure and services for the firm and also for long-range planning and system life-cycle management. This includes operational support, system upgrade, and deployment of the Cisco Unified Communication Systems (CUCS), including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Voice gateway, Cisco Unity Connection and Unified Messaging System. The successful candidate must have strong project management, project planning, and coordination and experience implementing processes across multiples teams; such as Network Engineering/Administration and A/V teams. Some of the duties for this position include: making sure junior team members are cross-trained on critical support functions and tasks, and functioning as the subject-matter expert for IP telephony solutions and systems worldwide, managing to resolution all voice system repairs and maintenance work orders, including all telephony-related installation, maintenance and repair orders, configures, upgrades and supports the Cisco IP telephony systems and services firm-wide. Implements high-performing systems and solutions to meet firm business goals and objectives, serves as Lead Technical Analyst on complex or difficult projects, serves as 2nd and 3rd level help desk support during normal and after hours for problems related to the IP telephony/VOIP system, configures, maintains and upgrades Cisco CUCM and Unity systems.
Position Requirements: Demonstrated expert level experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), CUCM IM & Presence Manager, Cisco Unity Messaging, Expert level experience configuring and supporting Cisco Voice Gateway routers and appliances, experience configuring and supporting Cisco Unity and Unity Connection 9.x + messaging platforms and supporting client applications such as Jabber, knowledge of routing protocols for voice such as IPSEC, DSCP/QOS, SIP, with strong proficiency with BGP, MPLS, and OSPF, understanding of Vmware vCenter ESXi and Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS) data center virtualization implementations is preferred, 7+ years of progressive experience managing and supporting systems and services in a IP telephony/VOIP infrastructure, previous experience working in a law firm IT support environment is desirable, BS in Computer Science or IT discipline preferred, Minimum of Cisco Certified Network Professional - Voice (CCNP - Voice) or Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) certification desired. Salary commensurate with experience.
