Capitol Recruiters Inc. is recruiting for a PR Coordinator for a prominent law firm client in Washington, DC.
Position Requirements: Ideal candidate is a recent college grad with a strong academic record with strong internships or a year or two of related professional experience. Strong interpersonal and writing skills are required, strong attention to detail is a must, proficiency with MS Office and experience with a large database required, experience with InDesign and InterAction a plus.
Duties include assisting the Director with day-to-day PR activities such as: responding to media requests, producing nomination/survey responses, and drafting press releases.
Candidates should be experienced with utilizing social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook).
Some of the responsibilities for this position: Managing editorial calendar, including identifying relevant surveys and award competitions and managing submissions and deadlines. This person is a point of contact for media inquiries and will coordinate responses.
Candidate will assist with securing opportunities for article submissions for attorneys; monitor press clippings and post mentions; maintain PR-related content for the firm’s website; draft and post PR-related content for the firm’s intranet; draft and distribute press releases; and assist with various awards and directory submissions. Salary is low 40ks.
