Description:
• Network Management System Architect to support the development of Network Management Systems for IT Services on the JRDC program located at Schriever AFB, CO.
• Lead the development and implementation of performance and health and status monitoring solutions for a wide variety of IT systems to include: physical and virtual computing systems running Microsoft and Unix based operating systems; network routers and switches; and storage systems.
• Produce system lifecycle documents and artifacts from the requirements to system implementation phases and make formal presentations to senior government customers.
• Provide Tier III maintenance and after hours support, as required.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in CS, IT or Engineering and at least 10 years of experience as a Software/Systems Engineer/Solution Architect designing & implementing network management systems to monitor the performance & health & status of computers, storage systems, & network routers & switches.
• A demonstrated history of contributing to the execution of large-scale technical projects.
• Detailed knowledge of network management technologies & trends, to include SNMP v3, NetFlow, RMON, the HP OpenView suite of products, NetScout, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager and VMware vCenter.
• Able to exercise leadership effectively for NMS teams without having a direct line of authority for team members.
• Experience with managing 3rd party technology partners & vendor relationships.
• Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills at both the engineering & senior executive levels.
• Superior analytical & problem-resolution skills, with attention to details.
• High energy, strong work ethic, & able to perform within condensed timeframes.
• Professional demeanor & attitude.
• Essential qualifications include: (1) ability to quickly adapt to new situations, (2) strong commitment to a team environment, (3) willingness to learn new technologies, & (4) ability to de-conflict requests/requirements, (5) able to establish, maintain & follow documented processes and procedures.
• Must have either a CISSP or Security+ certification.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
• Experience with HP ArcSight and the collection and processing of system logging information for security incident response.
