Our continued success calls for the addition of another Sr. Quality Engineer professional who will provide the QA function in our Vendor Management, Supply Chain process.
Job Summary for our Sr. Quality Engineers:
-- Provide support, coordination and interaction of the Quality Assurance functions within the respective production value streams to produce the highest level of quality workmanship at the minimum cost.
-- Promote continuous improvement initiatives by coordinating accurate and timely assessments of activities affecting quality and customer satisfaction.
--Reviews customer contracts, regulatory agency rules and codes, prepare quality engineering reports for submission to the customer to ensure quality requirements are achieved while evaluating their impact on the organization.
--Manage the relationship with strategic vendors/suppliers for capital equipment ensuring that all quality/customer objectives are achieved
--Responsible for qualifying all outsourced fabricators, manage all fabricators processes to comply to required documentation across all the Value Streams to ensure compliance to internal/customer requirements
--Manage customer complaint process
-- Identify non conformances & establish priorities in the Value Stream
-- Identify common threads aimed at reducing occurrences and conduct trend analysis
--Translates customer requirements into actions for quality and process improvement by interacting with project team members, assign quality engineers to
achieve requirements, developing inspection and test plans
--Sponsor the ISO certification process and all related activities to accomplish continued registration
--Manage the internal non-conformances (NCR) process to determine root cause and monitor corrective actions for effectiveness. Have complete understanding of problem solving techniques and deploy within diverse workforce
--Manage the warranty/customer return process performing trend analysis and issuing corrective actions to improvement processes based on findings, perform verification audits for compliance
--Performs continuous improvement initiatives for cost, productivity and quality performances
--Develops specifications, which document the required appearance and characteristics of materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products.
--Determines inspection points, the procedures to be followed, the characteristics to be measured, the equipment and forms to be used, and the records to be kept
--Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, process and surveillance audits; collaborating with other team members to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods
--Supports all aspects of ISO9001, ASME,NSF, and Pressure Equipment Directives, and any other applicable codes/standards as may be defined by customer contract.
--Manage and maintain the Company’s safety program with zero tolerance methodology, trend injuries and create corrective action system to remedy potential issues
Required Skills and Knowledge for our Sr. Quality Engineers:
--Must have comprehensive knowledge of quality systems, ISO9001, formal audit training. experience with blue prints, control plans and product validation activities in diversified manufacturing operations
--Be proficient with software including word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes;proficient in SAP is a requirement
--Must understand engineering and procurement of capital goods organization.
Qualifications needed for our Sr. Quality Engineers:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline preferred.
• 7 years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Applied knowledge utilizing ASME 31.3 preferred.
• Possess the ability to teach colleagues to understand customer requirements required.
• ASQ Certified Engineer preferred.
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing certification and/or experience is preferred
• Ability to teach colleagues to understand customer requirements
