As a Regional Sales Director (Pharmaceutical) Industry, you’re responsible to mentor and coach District Managers who manage Territory Reps and build this important region into top performers.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, this position has the autonomy to build the fiercest team of pharmaceutical districts in the nation!
Job Summary of our Regional Sales Director (Pharmaceuticals):
1. Responsible for exceeding sales targets through leading people within the Sales organizational structure in accordance with strategic and financial objectives.
2. Implement Sales recruitment strategy in conjunction with HR and senior management.
3. Coaching district sales managers: (1) Observe district sales managers/sales representatives and provide feedback (2) Evaluate district managers coaching skills and determine appropriate intervention (3) Role model best practices around message delivery and product knowledge (4) Set expectations, support, and reinforce district sales manager/sales representative training.
4. Career planning and performance management: (1) Ensure Performance Management and development plans are in place for all employees (2) Monitor Performance Management process with individual DMs (3) Identify poor performers and develop and communicate corrective action plan as needed with HR.
5. Lead internally: (1) Model corporate values and ethics in every situation (2) Align goals with strategy through clear direction (3) Inspire and motivate team (4) Build team synergy (5) Address important problems and difficult issues (7) Identify, develop, and stretch top talent performance.
6. Own and manage sales implementation metrics.
7. Participate in the development of budgets and monitor the financial performance of the districts
8. Champion customer needs and own key customer relationships.

Qualifications for our Regional Sales Director (Pharmaceuticals):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years experience managing pharmaceutical district sales managers who manage territory reps.
- Maximum 5 years experience managing pharmaceutical district sales managers who manage territory reps. (We will not look at applicants with more than 5 years experience)
- Proven trace record of success
- Experience in Sales Operations (a plus)
- Must have been responsible for California districts for the past 3 5 years
- Must live in California or surrounding states (OR, WA, NV, AZ, UT)
