Now inviting a Lead BI Developer/ Reporting lead to join our Business Intelligence (BI) Group in our Washington State headquarters.
The Lead BI Developer/Reporting Lead will recommend, design and execute reporting solutions to help our leaders gain access to important data for driving and growing our business.
We are currently serving clients in construction, energy, light industrial, manufacturing, retail, service, and transportation industries.
The position will report to the Director of Business Intelligence.
Job Duties of Lead BI Developer/Reporting Lead:
• Analyze large amounts of data in order to provide our Business Intelligence users and customers with accurate, insightful, and actionable information.
• Design dashboards to deliver Business Intelligence to leaders in multiple departments
• Utilize Cognos for Dashboards, Scorecards and Analysis
• Perform code reviews, complete paired development, and provide constructive feedback to our database development team in order to increase the quality of the data solutions deployed.
• Work closely with business analysts and end-users to understand, capture, document, and analyze requirements for complex data solutions.
• Create high quality, detailed technical designs for our database solutions based on evolving industry standards, frameworks.
• Ongoing research of evolving techniques and trends in data solution delivery for Business Intelligence, web sites, and mobile applications
• Lead and manage Data warehouse so that most efficient Business Analytics can be delivered
Desired Skills and Experience needed for this Lead BI Developer/Reporting Lead:
• Demonstrable critical thinking ability in order to analyze large data sets and attention to detail in order to derive accurate conclusions as a result.
• end to end work with Data Warehousing using Cognos & SSIS technologies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent. Masters Preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in the development of high quality data solutions for Business Intelligence, analytics, and dashboards.
• Expert level skills in SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), versions 2008 2014
• 3-6 Years with Cognos Transformer defining OLAP cube structures and data while building the multidimensional analysis cubes.
• 3-6 years with Cognos Active Report 10.2
• 2-3 years working with Microstrategy Business Analytics
• 2 or more years of experience working with source control (TFS preferred).
• 6-12 months experience building SQL Azure databases and/or SQL Server databases on Azure Virtual Machines.
• Speak, read, and write clearly in English.
