Description
The candidate will be responsible for performing complex testing and analysis, scripting and execution of test cases for state of the art infotainment systems and other OEM products. This position requires both bench testing and drive evaluations. The individual shall work in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and architectures, diverse technologies and lab environments. The individual must have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA life cycle and methodology.
Job description:
Test Engineer for validating variety of infotainment systems that includes but not limited to System Testing on Bluetooth, Navigation, WLAN Testing, Wi-Fi Testing, MHS testing, HMI, Camera Testing, 3rd party IM Testing etc.
Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using Test Builder. Execute and analyze automation test results.
Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using Quality Center or similar tools/means
Creating test cases that functionally verify release content as well as previously existing functionality.
Identifying and documenting defects consistently and clearly with the development team.
Development and maintenance of automation test cases using Test builder for stress testing.
Minimum requirements:
Experience in embedded testing
Bachelors’ degree in Electrical/Computer engineering
Preferred Skills (not required):
1+ years of relevant work experience in Electrical Engineering with automobile or telecommunication industry.
Working knowledge of Navigation, SMS, MMS, Call processing concepts, WLAN Testing, Wi-Fi Testing, MHS testing
Able to analyze and process logs and identifies connectivity issues related to Wi-Fi, Blue tooth, or Satellite radios.
Knowledge of Infotainment and connectivity subsystems, HMI tools.
Understanding of Protocols, CAN bus, Bluetooth protocol, RS-232, TCP-IP, FTP, Ethernet and UDP protocols
Understanding of microprocessor based electronics and electronic circuits.
Proficient in all aspects of project development from vision and scope through all phases of design, development, implementation, deployment and project exit.
Experienced in writing test cases, technical requirements and performing standard engineering analysis
Good experience with different Operating Systems, with emphasis on Unix variants
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of embedded system languages such as Unix, Linux, PERL, VB, C etc.
