We are currently recruiting for a Data Manager to immediately fill a contract position with one of our clients in the Memphis, TN area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To accurately input data into the computer mainframe system. Correct, modify and revise data. Coordinate with maintenance, design, construction and purchasing personnel concerning maintenance documentation and data.
• Creates, modifies, reviews and submits item master forms (IMF’s) for maintenance parts
• Creates, modifies, reviews and/or revises parts text (engineering text known as ss or ctext)
• Creates, modifies, reviews and. or revises equipment piece numbers (EPN’s)
• Assigns and tracks assemblies and assembly numbers for sort
• Configures, develops, and revises bill of materials (BOM’s) for EPN’s.
• revises and enters manufacturer part numbers for parts BOM’s
• Obsoletes or revises IMF’s and EPN’s
• Reviews, creates, links and/or enters maintenance events and maintenance events text (SME’s, FME’s)
• Reviews and corrects the catalogs for sort and facility parts
• Interprets technical drawings, maintenance manuals and/or illustrated parts lists to determine data to enter into computer system.
• Evaluates and proposes processes or ideas to improve efficiency for mainframe data entry
• Special projects
• Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
• High school diploma/GED.
• Experience with operating a computer, including spreadsheets, adobe reader and data entry
• Competent in the use of Microsoft office products
• Ability to interpret blueprints/drawings, specifications, manufacturer cut sheets and illustrated parts lists.
• Strong human relations and communications (written and oral) skills
• Ability to quickly learn to utilize a mainframe system
• Attention to detail and accuracy, especially related to data entry
• Ability to utilize web based and oracle systems a plus
