POSITION TITLE: Armed Security Officer
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt, Benefited
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Finance & Operations
POSITION SUMMARY
Periodically patrols buildings and grounds of work sites, including clinics. Has firearm on body at all times. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the security field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position also requires sitting at a desk for extended periods and requires standing and walking for periods of time in excess of one hour. Weekend hours may be required.
PRIMARY DUTIES PERFORMED
• Armed at all times while on duty
• Monitor camera system
• Greet and secure clients entering the building
• Monitor alarm system
• Periodically patrols and up keeps grounds of building and parking lots
• Periodically patrols buildings including clinics
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Professionalism at all times
RISK MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
• Adheres to PPSLRSWMO’s and department policies that ensure the provision of the highest quality and most professional services to all PPSLRSWMO clients
• Protects PPSLRSWMO’s assets from liability
• Assures for the physical safety of PPSLRSWMO clients, staff, and volunteers
• Protects confidentiality of all PPSLRSWMO clients, donors, Board and all areas of operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the security field or in a related area. Requires a Security license and a weapon permit.
REQUIREMENTS
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the security field.
