Job Description:
The Contract/Procurement Manager provides expertise in the oversight of FTA-funded major transit projects. The Contract/Procurement Manager reviews project sponsors' plans for contracting/procurement and supporting documentation to ensure that projects are being built safely, on budget, on schedule, within scope and in conformance with applicable regulations and guidelines. The individual serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert in the area of contract and procurement management on transit projects.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement planning and management on large capital projects with at least 3 years in passenger rail or related transportation modes
• Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
• Knowledge of legal (contracts), claims, negotiation of contracts, project delivery method, Federal Acquisition Regulations
• Professional Registration/Certification is preferred
