Burns & Scalo is now hiring experienced Roofing Installers and Forepersons for our Residential, Commercial, and Sheet Metal divisions in the Pittsburgh, PA region.
Job Qualifications for Roofing Installers and Forepersons:
Reliability and attendance
Must have reliable transportation to Commercial/ Sheet Metal job site locations or be able to commute to the Crafton, PA office if applying for Residential/ Repair & Maintenance divisions (includes Pittsburgh and surrounding areas)
Permissible background check including clean drug screen
Ability to lift 75 pounds, stand/walk, pull, bend over, work on knees, and climb ladders
Physically able to tolerate work outdoors at varying temperatures and work at heights
Possess Customer Care focus and have ability to professionally communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work with autonomy and within a team
Experience and proficiency working with respective division’s roofing or sheet metal systems
Commercial: Single-Ply, Fully adhered and mechanically fastened systems, TPO or EPDM
Residential: Singles, slate, tile, cedar shakes, gutters/downspouts
Sheet Metal: Standing Seam, flashing
Repair & Maintenance: Some experience combination of the above systems
Specific Qualifications for Foreperson:
Ability to manage a job site effectively from human capital to job site material resources
Permissible background check including clean drug screen, valid driver's license, and references
Prior experience running job sites
