Account Manager
David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an Account Manager to build and develop business in Corner Brook, NL and the surrounding area.
The Account Manager will develop sales plans that effectively market the company's value proposition to customers to drive profitable sales growth while utilizing professional selling skills to understand customer needs and present cost effective solutions which will increase customer spend loyalty and retention.
The Role:
Manage an account portfolio of approximately 75 medium to large size customers, including National Accounts customers, as well as executing a focus of new/new customer acquisition activity
Weekly field activity expectations; 32 customer calls including a minimum of 5 new customer development calls
Identify and classify account opportunities and potential by establishing call priorities and frequencies (pipeline report, customer action plan)
Develop and implement account penetration plans and strategies to include regular account business reviews for key customers
Ability to understand customer needs and concerns to help them get the job done and win their business
Aggressively follow up on leads to convert to profitable sales
Manage and maintain customer segment accounts, while increasing customer awareness through product and service offering
Grow share of wallet with these customers and determine potential customers that may have more complex requirements
Partner with company suppliers/vendors and internal sales resources, such as National Accounts and Specialists to achieve profitable sales goals
Communicate regularly with branch team in order to resolve customer issues
Install solutions such as eCommerce and Private Brands with customers.
Our ideal manager candidates will have the following qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience as an Manager in the retail industry is a must;
