Position Title: Event Assistant Part time
Reports To: Senior Manager, Facility Sales and Service
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Hourly
Working Hours: Includes Evening and Weekend Hours
Broad Function: Provide a range of support for special events and private dining. This includes, but not limited to, greeting guests, coat room, concierge services and vendor administration.
Position requires a detail oriented, energetic individual who can provide a high level of service and effectively implement logistics related to a variety of activities and events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for reading and understanding day’s events, guest information and specific requirements of the day.
• Proactively greet guests and provide appropriate direction upon arrival to the building for special events and suite dining.
• Promptly greet vendors, facilitate load ins, and provide support as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patrons, guests, staff and vendors. Maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure.
• Provide attentive and courteous coat check services for special events.
• Facilitate ticket services for suite and event guests.
• Protects the overall safety and security of the facility and patrons by reporting and addressing suspicious or dangerous activity, using security staff as necessary.
• Assist with building evacuation in the event of a building evacuation.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid Training.
• Take direction from FSS event contact and provide assistance with event details as required.
• Complete daily reports.
• Perform all other appropriate duties and responsibilities when necessary.
Education and/or Experience:
2-3 years of related experience and/or training preferred. Experience in performing arts or entertainment a plus. High school graduate or equivalent, College experience desired.
