Qualifications:
• B.S./M.S. degree in engineering/scientific field • 0 to 2-year’s post-Bachelor’s degree experience in Production, Development, Validation, Process Engineering, Technical Services or related experience is preferred but not required. • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a team • Proven analytical abilities • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
The function of this position is to provide technical support to aseptic manufacturing operations. This role will focus on Merck manufactured sterile pharmaceuticals and liquid and lyophilized vaccines. The principle responsibility areas are: 1) support of visual inspection process improvement and new process development, 2) support of visual inspection process qualification testing, and 3) supporting the tracking and management of inspection process data. Individuals will develop working relationships with counterparts in other areas supporting aseptic manufacturing, testing, and release. The individual will be required to utilize sound scientific and engineering principles to support the visual inspection process within the context of cGMPs.
