150480 Quality Analyst
Our customer located in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Quality Analyst on a direct hire basis.
The salary range for this position is dependent upon level of experience.
Superior: Department Manager
Substitute: Quality Engineer
Function
The Quality Analyst is responsible for inspection of incoming parts, launch support in production and at customer facilities, supplier problem resolution (first level) and other technician level tasks in the Quality Department. Serves as substitute for Quality Engineer at FMEA, APQP, and Quality planning sessions. Responsible for data gathering and recording tasks such as scrap reports, run at rate statistics, process capabilities, etc.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for technician tasks in Quality department. Inspects incoming parts and authorizes appropriate actions, serves as first responder to customer reported quality issues, and keeps records of quality statistics, process capabilities, lessons learned and corrective actions implemented. Within scope of training, substitutes for Quality Engineer.
Authority
• Substitute leader for project team in development and implementation of APQP & DFMEA, assists in plan development of PFMEA.
• Inspects, approves, or rejects incoming production and prototype parts from company plants and sub-suppliers.
• Maintains records of process control, root cause analysis, and lessons learned as they apply to the production area.
• Assists in customer required quality certifications of company facilities.
• Assists in preparation of PPAP documentation.
• Key contact for notification of customer manufacturing, assembly or quality issues.
Required Education / Experience
• AAS or equivalent.
• Understanding of inspection techniques, statistical process control, and problem solving techniques.
• Can substitute as leader for FMEA, APQP, and Quality function deployment meetings.
• Previous experience with PPAP preparation and presentation.
• Previous experience with resolution of production, customer manufacturing, and field quality issues is desirable.
• Warranty administration experience helpful.
• Good computer and presentation skills.
