Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for a Production Supervisor in the Urbana, IL area. This position is a direct hire for a successful growing food manufacturing company.
Duties include:
• Providing leadership for daily manufacturing operations for an assigned department or area;
• Providing direction, development and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, assignments and continuous improvement projects and initiatives;
• Responsibility for achieving productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety and employee engagement objectives through both individual and team contributions.
EDUCATION: 4-year degree required; Business, Food Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods industry;
• Must have experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment;
• Good knowledge of quality regulatory requirements: GMP, AIB, FDA;
• Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and improve methods through standard work;
• TPM;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, training and coaching skills;
• Able and willing to work all shifts or alternate work schedule as needed to include weekends.
