Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for an Automation Engineer in the Omaha, NE area. This position is a direct hire for a successful and innovative company.
Responsibilities:
• Developing automated testing systems;
• Creating software that interfaces with sensors and PLC systems for data acquisition and hardware control;
• Developing PLC programs and control schemes;
• Researching and procuring parts and components;
• Using Windows and Linus to run software and configure systems for use with purchased and in-house software;
• Assisting R&D techs and engineers with programming and hardware problems relating to testing and product development.
Education: 2-year or 4-year degree required.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering;
• Proficient in PLC and electrical control system development;
• Working knowledge of programming embedded control systems,
PD and PID loops, Electrical Theory and its application, SolidWorks and MS Office applications;
• Working knowledge of analog sensors and utilizing them in PLC and embedded systems;
• Strong communication, time management, and hands-on problem solving skills.
